We all own a “Laundry Chair”. That chair where we pile up layers and layers of clothes, ending up washing them all indiscriminately. This is a problem for the environment, because it makes us do unnecessary washings. But what if a washing machine brand suggested you to do less washings?

Together with Whirlpool we launched The Wash Less Project, the first chair designed to wear your clothes longer and reduce unnecessary washings. The chair, designed in partnership with Fabio Novembre Studio, is made of eco-sustainable materials, is coated in Ecoplen – a sustainable fabric that saves water and energy with its self-cleaning ability – and features special flocked steel horns allowing clothes to “breathe” more.

The chair was launched with a dedicated ambient in Milan, consisting of an enormous mountain of clothes to symbolize the waste caused by our own laundry chairs at home. By naming the “opera” on their social media, passersby could have a chance of winning one of the Wash Less Chairs before general sale.

The Wash Less Project chairs were put up for sale in the following days in all Natuzzi stores, and were presented in a dedicated press conference hosted in via Durini’s store in Milan.
